New heads appointed for four Dubai government entities

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has announced key leadership appointments in various government entities.

The new leadership roles are for the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Courts and the Dubai Land Department.

  • Aisha Abdulla Miran has been appointed as the Director-General of the KHDA. She replaces Dr. Abdulla Al Karam.
  • Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi is the new Director-General of Dubai Courts. He replaces Tarish Eid Mohammad Al Mansouri. 
  • Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi has been appointed as the Director-General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. He takes over from Mohammed Abdulla Ahli.
  • Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita has been entrusted with the responsibilities of the Director-General of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), in addition to his current role as the CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). He replaces Sultan Butti bin Mejren as the DLD's Director-General.

Sheikh Hamdan extended his best wishes to the newly appointed leaders in serving the city and its people.

"We will be keenly following their progress in the next phase, with the aim of further raising levels of service excellence in government, aligned with our strategic aspirations," he said.

Sheikh Hamdan also extended his gratitude to the former heads of the four government departments, adding that "their significant contributions have played a vital role in raising service standards and excellence in Dubai".
