Shalu

She’s the nostalgia queen, the woman responsible for bringing tears to your eyes with her huge collection of beautiful Malayalam songs from the past. But it wasn’t always going to be like this.

Shalu studied to be a health inspector in Kerala, before moving to Dubai in 2000. It was this move that opened up a new and unexpected path in the world of the media for Shalu. After a stint hosting a television show that explained the significance of Ramadan to the expat Malayalam audience, Shalu decided to move into radio. Although, she admits she has held long-time passion for entertainment, and has more than 200 certificates won at talent shows to prove it!

Away from the microphone, Shalu collects books and music CDs.
