A record 1.2 million visitors stayed in Abu Dhabi’s hotels during the second quarter of 2019.

That’s a 6.8 per cent increase year-on-year, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi.

The growth was mainly driven by a rise in guests from Saudi Arabia and India.

Meanwhile, total hotel revenue during the period grew 3.7 per cent to reach AED 1.2 billion.

Hotels in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and Saadiyat Island were among the top performers.
