ADNOC Gas says domestic demand still being met after Habshan attack

ADNOC Gas said on Sunday that demand in the UAE was being met through its other facilities after the Habshan complex in Abu Dhabi was hit by debris from an intercepted attack on Friday.

In a statement made to Abu Dhabi Securites Exchange,  the company said there was no impact on customer supply and it continues to actively collaborate with international customers and partners where needed.

The incident occurred due to falling debris following the successful interception by air defence systems in the Habshan area.

One contractor, an Egyptian national, lost his life during the evacuation from the site and four other contractors sustained minor injuries.

They have since been released from hospital.

Fatema Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Gas, said, “We are profoundly saddened by the loss of life and extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. Our thoughts are also with the injured colleagues, and we wish them a full and speedy recovery. The safety, security, and wellbeing of our people remains our highest priority."
