The inaugural Dubai Future Finance Week has brought together global financial leaders, policymakers and innovators to discuss the trends shaping the future of the financial industry.
His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, attended the launch of the DIFC-led initiative.
Running until November 6, the event features more than 100 specialist events, 12 major forums and 14 stages across Dubai, with over 1,000 speakers taking part.
Discussions will focus on the growing role of artificial intelligence, financial technology, emerging economic corridors, investment flows and the future of banking.
The opening day also marked the start of the Dubai FinTech Summit, which runs until November 3.
During the event, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, unveiled a tenfold expansion of DIFC Academy.
The expanded facility, located in DIFC's Zabeel District, will cover 370,000 square feet and is expected to accommodate more than 50,000 learners annually by 2030.
Sheikh Maktoum said Dubai is continuing to strengthen its position as a leading global financial centre through investment, innovation, advanced infrastructure and specialised talent.
The event also builds on Dubai's growing reputation in financial technology, with the emirate ranked first globally for FinTech in the latest Global Financial Centres Index.
Throughout the week, discussions will also cover sustainable finance, Islamic finance, private capital, family wealth and digital assets, creating opportunities for international partnerships and investment.
