Many Facebook users report being logged out without an option to log back in, while Instagram displays a 'Couldn't refresh feed' message.
The cause of the outage remains unconfirmed.
Downdetector, a website that tracks traffic-related issues on major websites saw a spike in the number of complaints around 7:15 pm UAE time.
