The number of Emirati tourists to Switzerland has increased thanks to the Schengen visa waiver for Emiratis. That’s according to the Swiss Tourism Board in the GCC, which also says the UAE has been ranked second in the list of GCC tourists flying to the European hot spot. It also pointed out the decision has helped brisk movement between the two countries as travelling becomes more convenient for both tourists and business visitors. National news agency WAM also says that exempting UAE citizens from the Schengen visa requirements has increased trade and investment between the UAE and the EU Schengen zone.
