A UAE delegation is set to participate in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), taking place in Thailand's Bangkok from October 12-18.
Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, will lead the UAE's Ministry of Finance delegation.
The delegation will participate in a series of high-level events on the sidelines of the annual meetings, alongside a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of partner countries to deepen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for financial cooperation.
The programme will also feature the UAE Banks Reception, designed to deepen strategic ties between UAE banks and their regional and international counterparts.
"We look forward to exploring ways to strengthen financial and economic cooperation and to contribute actively to discussions on priority issues, including reinforcing global financial stability, financing development, and supporting initiatives aimed at addressing global economic challenges,” Al Hussaini said.
The UAE previously announced it won voting rights to host the annual meetings in October 2029, set to take place in Abu Dhabi.
