Globally renowned musician Mohammed Assaf was revealed as Madame Tussauds Dubai's latest wax figure addition.
The Palestine-origin was introduced to his wax figure during a special unveiling held in partnership between Madame Tussauds and Ain Dubai.
The wax figure was built in three months by a team of Madame Tussauds’ sculptors who documented over 500 of his precisely detailed movements.
Known for his performance and crowning moment during the second series of Arab Idol in 2013, he has since been celebrated by millions around the world, both for his talent and his humanitarian contributions.
In 2013, Assaf was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for Peace by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) while the Palestinian government named him an Ambassador of Arts and Culture.
Madame Tussauds earlier unveiled their first wax figure of singer Balqees Fathi ahead of its opening later this year.
