Dubai ready to host more international blockbusters

Behind the scenes footage of Simon Pegg shooting Star Trek Beyond in Dubai revealed at the 12th Dubai International Film Festival.

The filming of Star Trek Beyond and Kung Fu Yoga in Dubai, at the same time, proves the emirate is ready to take on any major international movie. That’s according to Jamal Al Sharif, the Chairman of the Dubai Film and TV Commission and the Managing Director of Dubai Studio City. He’s been speaking at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) where he shared behind the scenes footage of the filming of the Star Trek movie in JLT, Meydan Racecourse, Burj Daman and Dubai Studio City. Al Sharif shares just how important the filming of Star Trek Beyond is to the emirate.
