Ed Sheeran has helped to pay off his friend's mortgage. The 24-year-old singer has revealed he hooked his childhood pal Amy Wadge out of her financial difficulty by allowing her to contribute to his last album 'X' and help him pen his number one hit track 'Thinking Out Loud.' Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "She was going through financial troubles about a year ago." He added: "She drove to my house - my album was nearly done - and she asked if I could put a song from when I was 17 on the deluxe album, so she could get a little bit of money and pay the mortgage and bills and stuff. "While she was there, we wrote 'Thinking Out Loud.' Now she never has to worry about money again." The flame-haired hunk - who has previously revealed he was homeless before finding fame - is thrilled he's helped Amy and her young family live the life they've desired. He explained with a smile: "She's got a family and two kids and stuff and every time I speak to her, she's going on holiday. It's really nice to see. It wouldn't have happened if she hadn't come down from Wales to see me." Not only has Ed pulled her off rock bottom but he's also helped kickstart her career as Amy has since been penning tracks for Ben Haenow and Geri Horner.
