Elton John dismisses sexual harassment claims

Sir Elton John has labelled sexual harassment claims against him "baseless" and "untrue". The 69-year-old singer has denied allegations made by his former security guard Jeffrey Wenninger, who is suing the star for sexual harassment and battery over three alleged incidents that he says occurred when he was working for the 'Rocket Man' hitmaker in 2014. But Elton insists his former employee - who stopped working for the star in September 2014 - is trying to get money out of him. Orin Snyder, a US attorney for the music legend's Rocket Entertainment Group, said in a statement: "This baseless lawsuit is brought by a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment. "These claims are patently untrue and contradicted by numerous previous statements made by this plaintiff. We will not give into his latest abuse of the legal system." According to gossip website TMZ, the security guard claims Elton touched him inappropriately on his private parts and buttocks while the pair were in a car together, and alleges the star once told him to "get your todger out" and "say hello to Uncle Elton". Jeffrey also claims in the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles, California, that in a separate incident the 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' singer once twisted his nipples while saying "you gorgeous thing, you".
