Adam Sandler is set to star in Happy Gilmore 2, Netflix has confirmed, almost 30 years after the original hit movie hit the big screen.
In the much-loved original Sandler plays Happy Gilmore, an angry hockey player who finds an unlikely talent for golf. Happy joins the golf tour in a bid to save his grandmother's house with is golf earnings.

The film made nearly $40 million at the box office in 1996 and earned a cult following.
