Kit Harington to earn $500k per Game of Thrones episode

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke are set to earn more than $500,000 per episode on 'Game of Thrones'. The 29-year-old actor, who plays Jon Snow in the hit HBO series, and the 29-year-old actress, who stars as Daenerys Targaryen, will receive the hefty amount next season and likely into an eight season too. Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) are also in line to take home the big paycheques, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) are yet to have their contracts completed. Season eight has yet to be announced but showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss says the programme is "approaching the finish line". Meanwhile, Iwan Rheon recently revealed he lied to his 'Game of Thrones' co-stars for 12 months to keep the death of his character, evil Ramsay Bolton, a secret. He said: "It gets tough [lying to people] and it doesn't help that I'm not a very good liar so people ask me questions and it's pretty obvious. "[When your character dies] There's kind of a grieving process, even though I've known for such a long time - for about a year - but when you finally see it, it starts kicking in. It's kind of a relief as well to finally get to talk about it openly. I filmed it in December, it's been a while, yeah." Speaking about getting a call to say his character would be killed off, he added: "It's usually about this time, when the scripts start coming through and you get a call if you're going [getting killed off]. The call to me was by David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], the creators, and they said 'Congratulations Ramsay makes it to the iron throne' and I was like 'No, sorry I'm dead aren't I?' You just get the call and it's nice of them to do that. They do a little joke, when you get that call you know what's coming."
