Rob Kardashian to be a dad

Rob Kardashian has always longed to be a father. The 29-year-old sock designer is expecting his first child with his fiancée Blac Chyna and he can't wait to shower the little bundle of joy with affection, just like the way his own dad Robert Kardashian - who tragically passed away in 2003 - cared for him when he was growing up. A source explained: "Rob was very close to his dad and lost him at a young age. He's never felt like he had a real father figure. He's always wanted to give that to his own kids. He's really a loving guy and will give a lot to his children." The loved-up couple - who got engaged last month following a four-month whirlwind romance - announced their happy news on Friday (06.05.16), despite initially planning to do it on Mother's Day on Sunday (08.05.16), because they were worried a member of Rob's family would leak the secret. The insider explained to People.com: "The family found out in the last couple weeks. Rob told everyone separately. They didn't have a big family meeting or anything like that." However, the showbiz clan - including Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner - weren't overly thrilled when they were told the news as they were hoping the pair's relationship would crumble before long. The source said: "When Rob started dating [Chyna], it was like, 'Okay, this is a phase.' And when they were talking about the engagement, it's like, 'But it won't last.' But now that there's a baby coming, everyone in the family knows that this relationship has permanence. Even if it doesn't work out, they're going to be co-parents of this child forever." The family locked horns with the 27-year-old model when she fell out with Rob's half-sister Kylie Jenner after she started dating Blac's ex-fiancé Tyga, who is the father of her three-year-old son King Cairo. However, they've since managed to put their feud to bed.
