Fans of Star Wars have descended on the UAE’s capital as it hosts the Middle East premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Emirates Palace is playing host to the screening, as well as six Stormtroopers who have arrived from another galaxy for the occasion. Abu Dhabi has provided the landscape for the movie’s planet Jakku and was featured heavily in the film’s trailers. Distinguished guests will tonight hopefully find out if Luke is alive, what happened to Leia and where Han Solo is; the rest of the country will have to wait as the seventh installment of the franchise hits UAE cinemas tomorrow.
