Ancient Afghan tower crumbles to the ground

A famous ancient tower has collapsed in Afghanistan. 

Videos of the architect of Ghazni spectacularly crumbling to the ground have been shared widely on social media. 

Government officials have blamed heavy rainfall for the destruction. 

However residents and exerts blame the authorities for not doing enough to protect historic sites.
