At least six people have killed and 25 others injured in rain-related incidents over the past five days in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.
Chinese Xinhua news agency quoted officials from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) as stating that the recent spell of heavy rains triggered landslides, blocking major highways and stranding numerous vehicles in various districts of the province. They said that traffic flow towards several districts has been completely stopped.
Special teams have been dispatched for rescue and relief operations regarding the stranded travellers, said the PDMA. The authorities have forecast more rains in the coming days advising citizens to take precautions.
