The man who has been charged with manslaughter after 39 people were found dead inside a refrigerated trailer in the UK last week has appeared in a British court.
25-year-old Maurice Robinson, who was also the driver of the vehicle, made the appearance via video link on Monday.
He's also been charged with conspiracy to traffic people.
Robinson was present virtually at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court and spoke only to confirm his name and address.
The bodies of 31 men and eight women were found in the town of Grays on Wednesday.
