Flight evacuated after smoke fills cabin during landing

A British Airways plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Valencia after smoke engulfed the cabin shortly before landing.

Footage shared online showed tourists using the evacuation slides on the runway at Valencia.

In a statement, the airline confirmed the flight BA422 from London had "experienced a technical issue" as it approached the Spanish airport. 

All 175 passengers were evacuated to safety, with the airline later issuing them an apology.
