Pakistan's former President Pervez Musharraf has been handed the death penalty by a special court.
A special court in Islamabad on Tuesday found the former military ruler guilty of high treason.
The charges stem from Musharraf’s imposition of a state emergency in 2007 that was intended to extend his tenure.
Musharraf's team can appeal the verdict in the Supreme Court.
