The permanent representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to the United Nations in New York have met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres to discuss the repercussions of the Iranian aggression.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the latest developments following Iranian attacks on civilian facilities, vital infrastructure, energy installations, as well as airports and ports.

They said the strikes represent a clear violation of the United Nations Charter, international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.

The GCC representatives also briefed the Secretary-General on the scale of the attacks and warned of their serious implications for regional security and stability.

Separately, the GCC envoys held meetings with the permanent representatives of the United States, Russia and China.
