KFC to test meatless nuggets and wings

KFC has teamed up with vegan food maker Beyond Meat to trial plant-based "chicken" nuggets in one outlet in the US state of Georgia.

Following the one-day trial, where customers will be given free samples, the fast-food chain will decide whether the plant-based chicken nuggets and wings will appear on its US menu. 

The product is called Beyond Fried Chicken and comes with the tagline “a Kentucky fried miracle”. 

KFC is the latest in a long line of food companies that experimenting with plant-based food.
