Qatar has strongly condemned what it calls a "cowardly Israeli attack" on residential buildings in Doha, housing members of Hamas' political bureau.
In a statement, the Qatari ministry of foreign affairs called the strike a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to the safety of both citizens and residents.
Authorities say emergency services and security forces responded immediately, working to contain the aftermath and ensure public safety.
Qatar also warned it will not tolerate what it described as reckless behaviour that endangers regional security and violates its sovereignty.
High-level investigations are underway, and more information is expected as the situation develops.
