Rail links across the Italian city of Florence have been disrupted following an earthquake on Monday morning.
In a statement, unit of the state-run rail company, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, said the rail links were "suspended as a precaution, in order to allow the examination of the state of the infrastructure".
According to the US Geological Survey, the 4.8-magnitude tremor hit the central Apennine mountains at 0230 GMT.
There are no reports of casualties.
