The United Nations Secretary-General has strongly condemned the military escalation in Libya, amid fears of a renewed civil war.
It follows bombing of the capital's airport by the Libyan National Army who are trying to take control of Tripoli from the western-backed government.

The United Nations and aid groups have warned on Wednesday that humanitarian operations in the Palestinian territories, particularly Gaza, were at risk of collapse if Israel does not lift impediments that include a "vague, arbitrary, and highly politicised" registration process.
