The United Nations Security Council on Monday imposed an arms embargo on the Houthi militia.
The UN arms embargo that until now targeted only some Houthi leaders, has been extended to the whole group.
The resolution received 11 votes in favour, while the remaining four council members - Ireland, Mexico, Brazil and Norway - abstained.
