Venezuela has freed opposition lawmaker Gilber Caro, ahead of a visit by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.
Caro was detained in April in what critics said was a violation of his parliamentary immunity.
"The parliamentarian Gilber Caro should never have been jailed," the National Assembly said. "Today he comes out from behind bars, but just like all Venezuelans, he still is not free."
Apart from an economic crisis, Venezuela is a political standoff between President Nicolas Maduro's government and National Assembly leader Juan Guaido.
