The third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, organized by the UAE Government Media Office, kicked off in Dubai on Saturday.
The event, which runs until Monday, January 13, is the largest of its kind globally, aiming to shape the content economy.
The summit is being held across multiple venues, including Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future, under the theme "Content for Good."
It brings together over 15,000 content creators and 420 influential speakers, including global experts and top influencers.
This year’s summit features more than 300 live sessions hosted by leading social media platforms and companies.
The summit has seen significant participation from influencers, content creators, and followers of various backgrounds and age groups.
The opening session was led by Emirati media personality and entrepreneur Anas Bukhash, who explored the impact of social media influence, both positive and negative.
Bukhash also moderated a discussion with Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris, who shared his career insights and the role of social media in his work.
Ahead of the event, organisers confirmed that all tickets had sold out, with expectations of over 30,000 visitors over the next three days.
