The Dubai Land Department (DLD) fined 256 brokers during the first half of 2024 for breaching advertising regulations in the real estate sector.
Over the past six months, the DLD's Real Estate Control Department conducted extensive inspections, including 450 field tours of real estate companies and projects, along with 1,530 checks on related advertisements.
Following these inspections, more than 1,200 warnings were issued to brokers and entities that failed to comply with advertising terms and conditions.
The DLD is currently working on enhancing its monitoring capabilities with the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies.
This new approach aims to streamline regulatory processes and further reduce violations within the real estate sector.
"We urge all real estate brokers and companies to fully adhere to the instructions and directives issued by DLD to maintain the market’s sustainability and development. We also call on the public not to engage with any property advertisement not approved by DLD," said Ali Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Real Estate Control Department at the DLD's Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA).
