Abu Dhabi Police's Command and Control Center received 38,000 calls during the Eid Al Adha holidays on the emergency number 999.
Most of the calls were made for reporting road incidents which ranged from minor traffic jams to major accidents, according to Brigadier Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director of Abu Dhabi Police Operations Department.
He added that his team coordinated with concerned authorities to reach the accident sites as soon as possible.
The UAE observed Eid Al Adha holidays for four days, starting Monday July 19.
The Command and Control Center of the the capital's police operations department covers the regions of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. It operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
