More than 50 play areas and multi-purpose playgrounds for children have been developed and improved in the capital.
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality revealed that developing the facilities costed AED19 million to ensure the highest standards are met.
They will include fitness and exercise equipment, fountains and vast open spaces.
Authorities explained that the goal is to encourage families and children to lead healthy lifestyles by providing them with more recreational spaces.
