Abu Dhabi Police have launched an initiative to reduce traffic black points and reinstate driver’s licenses until September 8.
The initiative is part of the authority’s participation in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, currently being held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Brigadier Ahmed Juma Al Khaili, Director of Police Follow-up and Aftercare Department, said drivers of light vehicles who had 8 to 23 black points would benefit from this service.
Drivers would have to transfer their black points to their driving licences via the Tamm app or by visiting the customer happiness centres at the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate.
After completing the transfer, motorists should head counter seven in the weapons wing at the exhibition and pay a fee of AED 800 to reduce black points and AED 2,400 to recover a suspended license, before attending a course at the exhibition at 4:00pm at the auditorium of Knowledge Centre.
