Parking violation tickets in Abu Dhabi are getting a digital makeover.
The emirate's Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has decided to replace paper tickets with electronic fines that will appear via text messages.
Details of the e-ticket can also be viewed and paid for online through the ITC website.
The changes will come into effect on Sunday, October 24.

The ITC has urged motorists to make sure their contact information is updated in order to receive any notifications.
This will also help them to benefit from a 25 per cent discount in case the e-ticket fine has been paid within 30 days of issuance.
