Ajman Police have denied rumours of a missing child in the emirate.
The authority clarified that a 13-year-old boy who had left home following a minor family dispute had returned safely to his parents within 14 hours.
Lt. Col. Muhammad Abdullah Abu Shehab, head of Al Nuaimiya Police Station, said the teenager's father reported the incident and officers were able to locate him the same day but rumours circulated online that he was still missing.
The official urged the public not to spread or fall for rumours and to only rely on information from official sources.
