Ajman Police have launched an AI bot to respond to non-emergency inquiries through a messaging platform, under the authority’s efforts to develop its digital services.
The platform has transformed the 901 call centre into a smart platform, allowing users to submit enquiries via WhatsApp message or voice note to the number 800901.
The smart system reportedly responds with high accuracy and in the language of the user's choice, including various Arabic dialects.
Colonel Hisham Abdullah Abu Shahab, Director of Operations at Ajman Police, said the platform allows customers to obtain immediate responses, including traffic services such as the traffic file opening service and information on vehicle registration renewal, in addition to inquiries about security and criminal services.
The authority explained that the project relies on artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies, and is based on an extensive database and advanced linguistic understanding network capable of handling various general inquiries.
