Ajman Police have honoured a woman for saving a two-year-old child from falling off a residential tower.
The Arab national, who spotted the child climbing onto the balcony ledge, immediately alerted authorities.
A patrol rushed to the scene and found the child had used a chair to reach the ledge while his parents were distracted.
Legal action has been taken against the parents for negligence.
Ajman Police have emphasised the importance of ensuring safety measures in homes, and warned that leaving children unsupervised could lead to legal consequences under the UAE’s child rights laws.
