Dubai Airports has confirmed that all flight operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) are suspended until further notice.
In a statement posted on its official social media handles, the authority advised travellers to contact their airlines for the latest flight updates.
It added that "further updates will be provided as we continue to monitor the situation".
The UAE announced the temporary closure of its airspace on Saturday as a "precautionary measure" due to the "rapidly evolving regional security developments".
Emirates Airline, in a statement, announced the temporary suspension of its operations to and from Dubai "due to multiple regional airspace closures".
Travellers are being assisted with "rebooking, refunds, or alternative travel arrangements" as the airline "actively monitors the situation".
The Dubai carrier urged passengers to check for updates on its official channels.
flydubai also announced suspension of its operations on Saturday "due to the ongoing developments in the region".
It said it's "working with the relevant authorities while adjusting our flight schedule accordingly".
Abu Dhabi Airports has announced that some inbound and outbound flights operating at Zayed International Airport (AUH) may face delays, diversions, or cancellations due to the temporary closure of the UAE airspace.
The authority stated that it is working with the relevant entities to minimise disruptions and ensure the safety of all passengers.
In a statement, Etihad Airways said all flights scheduled to depart and arrive at Abu Dhabi are suspended until 2 pm on March 1.
Flights "scheduled to arrive after this time are expected to operate, subject to operational conditions," a spokesperson for the airline added.
"Flights already en route to Abu Dhabi are returning to their origin airports where required."
