The Council of the League of Arab States has adopted a resolution supporting a joint Egyptian-Saudi initiative aimed at boosting regional security and cooperation.
The decision was made in Cairo during the Council’s 164th regular session, chaired by the UAE. It marks a key step toward strengthening collective Arab security and promoting regional stability.
The Council emphasized that regional security must be achieved collectively, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab states. It rejected any unilateral actions or use of force to impose control.
The initiative includes plans for joint efforts in combating terrorism, securing waterways and protecting strategic infrastructure — all aimed at reinforcing peace and stability across the region.
