Aviation leaders gather in Dubai to discuss future of air travel

The inaugural Aviation Future Week (AFW) has commenced in Dubai, bringing together global aviation leaders and industry experts to discuss the sector's future.

The event, hosted by Emirates Airline and the Museum of the Future, runs from October 15-17, focusing on passenger experience and innovative solutions to operational challenges, particularly through technology like artificial intelligence.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, highlighted Dubai’s strong aviation and tech ecosystem as crucial for nurturing innovation.

He emphasised the importance of discussions around aviation's impact on global mobility and the role of technology in overcoming industry challenges.

In a fireside chat on, ‘How Dubai is Setting Future Trends in Aviation and Logistics’, Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, discussed Dubai's leadership in shaping future aviation trends, stressing the need for agility and a willingness to embrace new ideas to drive change.

In various sessions, industry leaders explored the balance between growing passenger demand and enhancing travel experiences, emphasising the necessity for technological advancements and sustainability in aviation.

Aviation Future Week features participation from government officials, industry executives, and innovators, aiming to address key challenges and opportunities in the sector over the next three days.
