A UAE aid convoy has delivered essential supplies to restart bakeries in the Gaza Strip as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 campaign to tackle worsening famine and humanitarian crisis.
Bakeries backed by the UN's World Food Programme would produce the bread and the agency's staff would hand it out.
The campaign is supported by the International Charity Organisation.
On Wednesday, the UAE said it will deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza following an agreement with Israel.
It will address the needs of 15,000 civilians, in the first phase.
Israel has been forced to lift the 11-week aid blockade under mounting international pressure.
Several bakeries in Gaza were forced to shut down due to depleting flour supplies.
