Dubai has started issuing establishment cards to countries participating in Expo 2020, and Belgium is the first to receive it.
The electronic card is aimed at easing the entry and exit procedures of workers and officials representing each pavilion.
It’s linked to a smart platform that provides easy access to visa documentation and all other government services.
Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Bureau Expo Dubai 2020 and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), issued the first establishment card to Aldwin Dekkers Deputy Commissioner General, Kingdom of Belgium.
Around 192 countries have confirmed their participation in the mega event, in addition to multinational companies and educational institutions.
