Authorities in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi City are taking further precautionary measures to deal with adverse weather conditions.
Al Ain municipality has ordered a halt to construction work and issued directives for building sites to be secured with barriers and temporary fences.
All public parks and playgrounds wil also remain closed until further notice.
A similar announcement was made by the Abu Dhabi City municipality regarding the closure of all parks and beaches until the weather conditions stabilise.
