Dubai Police has emphasized its commitment to monitoring violations of precautionary measures outlined by the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management.
The force issued 141 violations and 1,422 warnings across four shopping malls.
Officers and volunteers carried out a series of inspections on Friday.
Mirdif City Centre, Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Festival City Mall were all targeted.
Dubai Police stressed that fines and penalties for breaking the rules will be applied to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure community safety.
Four violations and 542 warnings were issued at the Mall of the Emirates for monitoring compliance with preventive measures and social distancing.
Police also delivered 92 violations and 620 warnings at four locations in Dubai Mall.
In addition, the force issued nine violations and 90 warnings and instructions in Mirdif City Centre to prevent overcrowding at four locations.
While 170 warnings and 36 violations were registered regarding overcrowding at five points in Dubai Festival City Mall.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) is forecasting partly cloudy to cloudy conditions at times on Saturday, with the chance of convective cloud formation and rainfall in some areas — particularly across the northern and eastern regions.
