Dubai’s Event Security Committee says it has completed preparations for Eid Al Adha, with a comprehensive plan to secure mosques, prayer grounds, roads, tourist areas, shopping centres and public markets.

Authorities say more than 1,600 security patrols, helicopters, marine units, rescue teams and emergency response crews will be deployed to ensure public safety and smooth traffic movement during the holiday period.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs and Chairperson of the Committee, said the operation also includes enhanced public transport services, with additional trains, taxis, buses, and marine transport available to handle the expected increase in movement across Dubai.

He confirmed the Command and Control Centre will operate around the clock to respond quickly to emergencies, while urging residents to use 999 only for emergencies and 901 for non-urgent matters.

Officials are also reminding the public to drive carefully during Eid, avoid speeding, and supervise children closely at beaches, pools and crowded areas.

Parents are being urged not to allow children to use fireworks, warning they can cause serious injuries, fires, and major damage to property and the environment.
