Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is calling on all school bus operators in the emirate to ramp up their preparations for the upcoming academic year.
As students gear up to return to school after the summer break, the RTA is working with school administrations and bus operators to prioritise health and safety. The focus is on maintaining a secure environment for students, both on buses and during their transit between home and school.
Specialised teams conduct inspections to verify adherence to transport laws and standards, and buses are regularly checked for safety and roadworthiness.
Emergency devices are installed to ensure quick responses if needed, and students are guided by bus attendants when boarding and alighting.
The RTA has instructed school bus operators to ensure their drivers follow traffic regulations strictly, particularly in school zones, and to avoid blocking entrances and exits.
Driver and attendant training is also mandatory, with a focus on safe student management and driving practices.
#RTA has called on all school bus operators in the Emirate to intensify their preparations for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, ensuring the provision of high-quality mobility services for students of all age groups.
