Dubai has officially become a member of the Global Resilient Cities Network, becoming the first city in the GCC to enter the international platform dedicated to strengthening urban resilience and sustainable development.
The move underscores Dubai’s growing reputation as a global leader in crisis and risk management.
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, said the membership marks a major strategic milestone, enhancing the city’s ability to anticipate risks, adapt to challenges, and maintain high levels of safety and quality of life.
Officials say the partnership will allow Dubai to share expertise with leading global cities, advance smart and innovative resilience projects, and support long-term planning to ensure services remain strong under all circumstances.
Dubai aims not just to prepare for crises, but to turn challenges into opportunities as it builds a future-ready, resilient city.
