Dubai Police announced the locations of its cannons for the month of Ramadan, a tradition observed annually to mark the end of the daily fast.
Fixed cannons will be located in the following locations:
Expo City Dubai
Damac Hills
Union Properties “Uptown Mirdif”
Burj Khalifa
Dubai Real Estate Corporation “Wasl”
Hatta Fort Hotel
“Salt Camp” - Kite Beach area.
A mobile cannon will also be making its way through 17 areas of Dubai, beginning from Al Meydan Hotel, then the Satwa Grand Mosque, followed by Al Marmoum area, then Zabeel Park, Al Khawaneej Council, Festival City, Jumeirah City, Al Wasl Park 1, Al Barsha Park, followed by Lehbab area, then Nad Al Sheba 1 - Al Ghaf Walkway, then Uptown Mirdif, then Margham area, Nizwa, Nad Al Sheba Park, Burj Khalifa, and Jumeirah Kite Beach.
The firing of Ramadan cannons is a culture observed across many Muslim countries and signals the end of the daily fast.
