Dubai Police received 25,107 calls during the recent adverse weather conditions, with 21,300 calls made to the emergency number (999) and 3,807 calls to the Call Centre (901).
The authority highlighted the spike in emergency calls was directly related to the weather fluctuations and heavy rains sweeping the country.
They added that the call centre operates round-the-clock and is ready to respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations and reports,
affirming that the safety and security of the community remain Dubai Police's utmost concern.
The authority also took the opportunity to remind residents that the 901 Call Centre is specifically intended for non-emergency calls, providing answers to inquiries about Dubai Police services and addressing any police and security-related questions within Dubai.
