Emirates Airline and flydubai have extended the temporary suspension of operations to and from Dubai until 3:00 pm on Tuesday "multiple regional airspace closures".
In a statement sent to ARN News, flydubai stated it is "working with our relevant authorities to adjust its flight schedule accordingly".
The airline also offered passengers booked to travel within the next 72 hours the option to rebook on "an alternative flight to the same destination up to 20 days from the original travel date".
Meanwhile, Emirates advised customers who are impacted by any flight cancellations to contact the airline if directly booked through it or communicate with their travel agencies.
It also stated that customers with flight bookings before or on March 5 are recommended to rebook an alternate flight or request a refund by contacting the airline or via a travel agent.
The airline also urged passengers to check their official websites and channels for any updates about changes or cancellations to their flights before travelling to the airport.
